I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals because I love seeing their confidence grow as they accomplish things they never thought possible. During my time with City Year, I worked with middle school students in math and science, helping them achieve the highest standardized test score improvements in their cohort. Whether it's building foundational skills or tackling advanced concepts, I enjoy adapting my lessons to meet the unique needs of every learner. My diverse teaching experience includes working with students of all ages through programs like Playworks and STEAM education, where I developed adaptive and creative teaching strategies. One example of this was with a student who struggled to focus; by incorporating regular movement breaks tailored to their needs, I was able to help them improve their productivity and engagement significantly. Math has always been a subject I've loved, which allows me to teach it in multiple ways to suit different learning styles. Blender is another favorite because it's a fun and creative tool that excites students as they see their ideas come to life. My teaching philosophy is centered around being adaptive and creative. I believe every student learns differently, so I strive to incorporate a variety of methods and tools to make challenging topics accessible and engaging. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active through yoga and hiking, playing Nintendo and Xbox games, and recreating things I love in Blenderinterests that often inspire my teaching and help me connect with students on a personal level.
