About Me

I have five years of experience working with kids including tutoring, daycare, classroom assistance and swim instructing. I hold an Associates of Arts and Sciences with high honors and I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Elementary Education. Outside of school and work I'm passionate about music, art, and swimming. I teach all subjects at the Elementary level. I also teach science, history, and writing at the Middle School level. My favorite subject to teach is science. I love teaching science because it's the foundation of exploring and understanding the world around us. When teaching, I aim to foster curiosity. The more curious I can encourage students to be, the more effective their learning will be, both inside and outside the classroom. I try to cater my lessons to the needs and learning styles of each child. In group classes, I am mindful to blend the three learning styles in each lesson to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn in the way that serves them best. On top of the core curriculum, I also try to teach my students good academic habits to ensure they continue to be successful for many years to come.
