I've got a BFA in graphic communications/illustrations, and an MAT in art education PreK-12. I've taught multi-media art to ages 5-adult in many settings, including: -24 years as a contractual educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art -my own art classroom in a high school -residencies at public schools and senior centers -libraries and museums -homeschool groups -private tutoring I have special expertise in bookmaking, and lots of experience teaching drawing and techniques in multiple art media! I am passionate about sharing my love of art with others. I can teach techniques for drawing, painting, clay, and numerous other art media. My teaching style is to directly engage students where they are, and push them just enough to skill-build without being frustrated. I engage directly with students on their current level to help them move forward at the pace that fits their own journey. I look forward to being your guide through the world of art-making!
