As a Computer Science student in the process of pursuing a PhD, I know how important it is to understand the ins-and-outs of your classes. Not only will you be better off understanding the deeper meanings, but you might also find your passion with learning. If that is not the case, it's all good, I enjoy practical applications but I also enjoy the theory behind things.
