About Me

Hi, my name is Eugene Ogiogio, and I am originally from Nigeria but have lived in Zimbabwe, South Africa, the USA and now Canada. I like to travel and immerse myself in the cultures and customs that are foreign to me so I can learn more about how other people view the world. If you ever get a chance to spend some time with me, I will talk your ear off about tech, as I have a controlled obsession with all kinds of tech. So much so I built myself a computer which I used to complete a Master's in Energy Systems Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. While I was in the US, I completed a Bachelor's in Petroleum and Natural gas Engineering and a minor in Applied Mathematics. I possess a strong background in Mathematics and Chemistry that served me well while I was employed as a TA and tutor at West Virginia University. As a TA and tutor it was my responsibility to facilitate, the understanding of undergraduate and sometimes graduate students in subjects ranging from algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and advanced calculus. Additionally, I also spent a lot of time assisting students with engineering, statistics, and chemistry so feel free to reach out about these subjects too. During my stint as a TA and tutor, I was able to develop my communication skills tremendously to the point where I was instrumental in helping over 50 failing students secure graduation earning me the Tutor of the Month award on several occasions. In closing, I see tutoring as an opportunity to learn, a journey I am willing to embark on with my student, wherever that may take us, so let's try to make it enjoyable.
