About Me

Persistence pays off. This is the primary lesson I have learned through my lifelong journey in the pursuit of knowledge. My passion for knowledge and education began as a sophomore in high school while taking my first advanced placement course, AP Psychology. Along with psychology I would go on to complete a number of advanced placement courses including AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, AP US History, AP European History, and AP Literature before graduating High School. After High School I attended Florida State University (FSU) where I received a double major in Exercise Physiology and Psychology as well as a minor in Biomedical Physics. As an undergraduate I volunteered in a Neuroscience laboratory within the Department of Psychology where I learned numerous research techniques in the field of Neuroscience. Following my graduation from FSU I worked as a Laboratory Manager and a Research Associate before completing my Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Western Michigan University (WMU). I have extensive experience teaching college level students including my time spent as a teaching assistant for Physiological Psychology and as an Instructor of Record for Human Anatomy Form and Function taught at FSU and WMU respectively.
