Learning is a "forever" skill. My goal is to find the best way for the individual to retain what they want to learn! Geralisa E Tutor I would describe my style as hands-on and enaging. I am a certified teacher in grades 7-12 and currently work with Middle School Students. My teaching styles differentiates for the needs of the students I am teaching. What I really appreciate about one-on-one tutoring is that if one thing is not working, we can always try something else. I know that during the day students are normally reading material they are forced to read; and so I try to bring in topics that interest them so that they can focus on their individual skills while also enjoying what we are working on. However, not every session is all fun and games; we use technology-based programs to focus on the skills they need to excel in HS. Some of my students come with hw and projects that we work on; while with others, I use my diagnostic results to focus on problem areas. I also emphasized grammar and punctuation, especially for students that struggle with learning opportunities. I find that breaking down the words and understanding the underlying function assists students with understanding how to broaden their vocabulary.
