About Me

I am a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received my Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. I received my CPA license in 2006. I worked in public accounting for 11 years doing audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping and tax returns. I am currently working as a Controller for a private company and have experience training people in our accounting department. I have a passion for teaching the fundamentals of accounting in a way that you understand why things are done. Memorization or 'doing what the last person did' will not make the concepts stick for you. I believe that there are no stupid questions and as a mom of two kids I have the patience to help you keep going even if something isn't making sense. I am a proud breast cancer survivor. In my spare time, in addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy working out, yoga, live music and travel.
