About Me

I have been a teacher for 8 years after graduating from UCF with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. My Bachelor's Degree of Science was obtained from Bowling Green State University before my move to Florida. I am passionate about teaching because I believe all students love to learn something new. I love to see the moment a skill or concept becomes "easy" after a time being a challenge. All students should have the opportunity to become independent learners and build their self-confidence, as they work to accomplish their goals. My role is to guide and support each student on their journey to discovery! I enjoy teaching all subjects, but my favorite is reading. Reading has the ability to open the world to a student, make them laugh, share experiences with character's and enjoy fantasies. When I am not teaching, I enjoy organic flower and vegetable gardening, spending time with my family and our multiple pets.
