I have taught second grade, fourth grade, and eight grade science. I have observed all classroom levels kindergarten through sixth grade and even had student teaching in those grade levels. I have a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Interdisciplinary Studies K-6. I tutor the core subjects (math, English/reading, science, social studies) up until eighth grade. I also tutor for Admissions, College Application Essays, and Writing. My favorite subjects to tutor are math, science, and writing. I think science and writing are a lot of fun, and I love that math has a definite answer. I believe in relationships first and want to build a strong relationship with my students before we get down to learning. I believe students learn best from people they like and people that are funny or personable. I like to laugh and bring humor to my teaching and help understand where students are at so I can bring them closer to their goal. When I'm not teaching, I am taking care of my family, enjoying a nice coffee, growing flowers and plants, and finding a new tv show to watch.
