About Me

I am a biochemistry major at Columbia University in New York City. My love for the sciences began from a fascination with pharmacology and physiology, and ever since, I've developed a strong passion for all the processes that accompany these topics. As such, my expertise is not limited to solely biology and chemistry, but the other subjects that contribute to a holistic understanding of biochemical processes, such as calculus and physics. I love helping others not only comprehend science and math subjects, but to develop an appreciation and deeply intuitive understanding for these subjects we unknowingly encounter on a daily basis. Despite popular opinion, I don't believe rote memorization is the only way to learn STEM subjects; in fact, I believe it's a rather ineffective approach. My approach to teaching biology, math, chemistry, and organic chemistry has always involved helping individuals discover their own intuitive methodology with learning these often intimidating subjects. Additionally, I love giving advice to maximize efficiency with learning. A little bit about me: I'm originally from Pakistan, but I was born and raised in the US. Before COVID, I was working as a fashion model and got to live in Australia for 3 years, and then in between London and Berlin for a year after. Besides tutoring, I work as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).Currently, I'm primarily looking for college and high-school students wanting to learn/strengthen their skills in organic chemistry and calculus.
