About Me

Hello! My name is Julie, and I teach 3rd grade in Zion, Illinois. I live nearby in Kenosha, Wisconsin, close to Lake Michigan. I hold a Master of Education in Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 2014, I've worked in education as both a classroom and substitute teacher, supporting students across grade levels and subject areas. I've also been a tutor in reading, writing, math, and more, always tailoring instruction to each learner's needs. In addition, I've taught chess and STEM in after-school programs since 2017, helping students strengthen problem-solving skills and creativity. As a current classroom teacher, I understand the importance of meeting students where they are, building confidence, and making learning engaging. Whether your child needs support in core subjects, enrichment to stretch their skills, or a boost in study strategies, I'm here to help them grow and succeed.
