Westley

I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln where I received a B.A in Mathematics with a triple minor in education, philosophy and psychology. In addition to tutoring for Varsity Tutors, I am a mentor for highly gifted students for Lincoln Nebraska Public Schools. Tutoring/mentoring to me is more than just a job. I find deep satisfaction in helping students unlock hidden potential, develop a zeal for learning and helping achieve academic goals. I became officially certified to tutor both the SAT and the ACT when I worked for a tutoring center. I currently have several SAT/ACT students who have been pleased with the review and the test strategies that I teach them. In addition to teaching mathematics, I am currently working on my own contribution to the field in the form of a mathematical proof. I hope to become published one day. I am a patient educator who can explain concepts in several different ways so that the student gains understanding. Outside of academia, I enjoy exercising, playing chess and doing yoga.
