I am a recent graduate of Williams College, where I studied political science with sidelines in history and English. Next fall, I am headed to Ithaca to study at Cornell Law School. I have experience tutoring in all subjects for high school standardized tests and in writing and history at higher levels, and am excited to pass on the benefits of my study as a tutor for the LSAT. I am hoping to start law school next fall. Before I lose another three years of my life to academia, I hope to spend the time I have now to help students get the grades and marks they need to reach the schools of their dreams. I've been on the "treadmill" and I know how brutal the educational arena can be. Thus, I find great satisfaction in being able to help people who were in similar situations as myself. I have extensive experience in tutoring from two previous positions in which I taught in both a classroom setting and a one-on-one setting. Regarding the subjects I have taught- I am familiar with math all the way up to Algebra 2 (including SAT Math), I have helped many students prepare for the SAT and ACT, I am very familiar with the LSAT, and I can assist students with Literature and Writing as well. In my experience with tutoring, I have found that students can often learn best when the instruction is tailored to their needs. Each student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to play on those strengths and weaknesses in order to bring out the best performance from the student. Although law is still my passion, I've found that I truly enjoy teaching; the friendships I've developed and the lessons I've learned are invaluable, and within this next year, I hope to help as many students as possible. Outside of teaching, I like watching a good UFC fight now and then, and I am shamelessly addicted to the NBA and all its glory. I have an insatiable appetite for good music, films, art, and of course, food, and I love experiencing and learning about different cultures, religions, and views. Lastly, I think the cheeseburger is the greatest invention man has ever made, and I am forever in pursuit of the best burger in L.A.

I am currently a student at Cornell University. At Cornell, I have maintained a 3.88 GPA and made the Dean's List every semester. I attended a small private high school and graduated at the top of my class with a 4.0 GPA (unweighted). My ACT Composite score was 34, and I am an AP Scholar with Honors.

I am able to tutor on a variety of subjects, but I'm especially passionate about test prep! I'm currently traveling around Europe and South America, before I start law school at the University of Texas this fall.

I'm Charlie. I graduated from the University of Chicago last Spring, and I'm headed for Harvard Law School this Fall; in the interim, I'm preparing students to take the ACT and LSAT online and locally in Chicago. I've been tutoring and instructing students of all ages for more than five years now, and since I started focusing on standardized test prep specifically I've spent a lot of time and effort to become the best LSAT and ACT instructor that I can be. I'm really proud of the rigorous, student-centered pedagogical approach that I've developed, and I'd love to show it to you!

I'm currently working towards a J.D. at Columbia Law School. Before joining Varsity Tutors, I tutored the LSAT for a private company, both as a classroom teacher and in one-on-one tutorials. Building off that experience, I will be working for Varsity Tutors, helping people prepare for the LSAT as well as the SAT and the ACT. I have really enjoyed my experience assisting students in test preparation. In my experience, students first approach tests in an ad hoc fashion, and often with a fair bit of trepidation and hesitancy. I find it tremendously satisfying to help students conquer those initial hurdles and gain a feeling of mastery and confidence. I am patient, and I encourage my students to be patient as well. I also help students faceand in so doing, conquertheir fear of failure. We practice not fearing mistakes, but seeing them as opportunities to learn, hone skills, and grow more confident. One of my strongest attributes as a tutor is my ability to break down complex ideas into clear and accessible language. There is nothing more gratifying than working through a difficult concept with a student and know they truly understand it and can put it into practice. In my free time I enjoy reading. Some of my favorite authors are George R. R. Martin (the author A Game of Thrones) and Junot Diaz. I also enjoy spending time with friends, often playing competitive board games, such as The Settlers of Catan.

I am very excited to have the chance to work with students preparing for the PSAT, the SAT, or the LSAT! While I'm originally from Connecticut, I attended college and law school in Buffalo, New York. While there, I worked for a test prep agency helping students prepare for the SAT and the LSAT. In 2003, I moved to Richmond. I worked with the Virginia Department of Taxation for 7 years doing policy work and assisting with the legislative process. In 2011, I began working for Bryant and Stratton College, where I taught students in the Paralegal Studies program. I loved helping my students prepare for new careers. I'm a Columbia Law student and experienced teacher, tutor, and editor. At Columbia Law, I sit on the boards of the Student Public Interest Network, the LGBTQ students group, and the animal law group. I spent the summer after my first year working in Kampala, Uganda on human rights issues and helped a team of lawyers to repeal the oppressive Anti-Homosexuality Act. I am currently assisting lawyers in the U.S. with a death penalty case and am a member of the Journal of Gender and Law.

I am a 99th percentile scorer on the LSAT with law school acceptances all across the T14 including Stanford, Columbia, NYU, and the University of Pennsylvania who is looking to help students achieve the score of their dreams. I tutor the LSAT Analytical Reasoning (games) and LSAT Logical Reasoning sections, and I also enjoy tutoring AP Government and the SAT Reading and Verbal sections. I am a recent graduate of Cornell University and I received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Law and Society. Before deciding to be a full-time tutor ahead of starting law school in the fall, I was a management consultant helping Fortune 500 companies find solutions to their toughest problems.

I am a Chicago native who is studying for the bar after graduating cum laude from Northwestern University Law School this May. I studied at St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University (including a two-term stint at Cambridge University). Between Villanova and Northwestern I worked at an academic non-profit organization and evaluated hundreds of fellowship candidates' writing and academic work.

I am a graduate of Harvard College, where I earned my BA, Cum Laude, in Economics and Government. I have also completed Columbia University's Certificate program in Business, and earned a Master's degree in Finance from Claremont McKenna. Currently I am working towards a JD at NYU's School of Law. Starting in college, I tutored students in economics and statistics, and also work with clients on subject test areas for the Advanced Placement exams, as well as standardized test preparation such as for the SAT I and II, GRE and LSAT. I especially enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests because I remember how helpful a compelling guide and mentor can be during the often stressful process of testing and preparation for it. In addition to performing well on the exams themselves, I believe it is just as important for students to learn how to think calmly and confidently about these tests, so that they can help to serve students' broader educational goals. In addition to tutoring students - and being one myself - I enjoy keeping fit by boxing at the gym, reading mostly non-fiction, and rooting for favorite NCAA teams. I am currently finishing my senior year at the University of Georgia. I am pursuing Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and International Affairs with an anticipated graduation date of May 2015. My passion for tutoring was ignited when I was in high school where I provided assistance across all academic subjects to students in grades 6-12. My passion, however, lies with economics and the LSAT. Economics holds a special interest to me because it seeks to explain how decisions are made, whether by nations, businesses or individuals. As someone who plans to attend law school, I spent countless hours honing my LSAT skills, and I came to view the test not as a brutal exam, but as a game that can be won. I am an experienced tutor with a focus on coaching people for standardized tests. I graduated from Yale magna cum laude with a degree in philosophy and I've been in Chicago for two years working with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights on voting and democracy issues. I scored well on my standardized tests (LSAT, ACT, AP Tests-5 on eleven different tests) and like helping other people do the same. Those tests are all beatable, and I think they can even be kind of fun once you start to feel yourself mastering them. Plus, it's rewarding to see my students' scores improve, which is almost guaranteed with the right kind of practice.

I'm a 2014 graduate of Princeton University and an aspiring law school student. At Princeton, I majored in International Affairs, and received a certificate in theater from the Lewis Center for the Arts. I also combined my passions for those two fields and my love of comedy to create a sketch and variety talk show, where I got to know amazing students and professors from all kinds of different fields. I'm excited to carry that energy forward by working with students of all backgrounds who are preparing for the next big phase of their lives.
