I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.

I am a graduate of the University of Chicago where I received my undergraduate degree in political science. Right after graduation, I worked as an academic and test prep tutor as well as admissions consultant in Hong Kong. For the past two years, I worked with a number of students to help prepare them for college in the United States.

I'm Ellie, and I am a junior at Yale University studying Biomedical Engineering (pre-med)! I have always considered myself a life-long student, and I strive to make learning exciting and empowering for everyone. On campus, I work as a graphic designer for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), volunteer EMT, am the Arts Editor for the Yale Scientific Magazine, am the Layout Editor for the Yale Globalist Magazine, conduct autism research in the School of Medicine, and tutor a Differential Equations course to small groups of students weekly. I am a recent Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, where my studies revolved around applying life science research to health and social studies. Biochemistry is my favorite because of how many other disciplines it synthesizes. After achieving a 38 on the MCAT (99.1%), I began mentoring students on test preparation strategies.

Some of my favorite academic interests include memoirs and modern classics. I think Catcher in the Rye is still one of my all time favorite books but Percy Jackson, a modern classic, is up there too. Beyond academics, I take great guilty pleasure in watching TV shows such as Westworld, Sherlock, How I Met Your Mother, and even The Bachelorette when I'm at a low point.

I am a former middle school science teacher and science curriculum chair in Philadelphia. I recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's degree in Education. In undergraduate, I graduated with honors in history and Russian language studies. I am also a Teach For America corps member alumnus. I'm Dennis. I study physics, math, and computer science. I have done research about cosmic ray acceleration at supernova shock fronts in the Princeton University Department of Astrophysics, simulating how the turbulent plasmas push protons and ions. I have also worked at the Norfolk State University Department of Engineering, designing, simulating, optimizing, and building light filters for wavelength-division optical-electronic multiplexers. Another field I study is the mathematics of quasicrystals and aperiodic tilings, such as the Penrose tiling of rhombuses.

I am a 2014 graduate of Cornell University's College of Engineering where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Engineering. I have just begun my Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University. My favorite subjects to tutor include Test Prep and elementary/middle school subjects. I enjoy helping younger students so that they can be excited about learning and begin their education with a solid foundation in reading, writing, and mathematics. I am a recent Cornell University graduate (Dec '23) majoring in Biological Sciences with a focus on Genetics, Genomics, and Development. My passion lies in healthcare, as I am currently preparing to attend medical school this upcoming fall. However, I have always had an interest in teaching. I started as a general chemistry TA, supporting students during problem solving sessions. Then, I helped teach our genetics lecture course, coordinating individual and group tutoring sessions that guided students in content application. This position transformed into a leadership role, organizing our teaching team while spearheading an initiative to train fellow teaching assistants in pedagogical techniques that I learned in a course I took on the art of teaching. Lastly, in an ethics of medicine course of non-STEM majors, I prepared and facilitated discussion sections on current topics in personalized medicine.
