Niceness'wholesome, integrated "personality is an excellent thing. We must try by every medical, educational, economic, and political means in our power to produce a world where as many people as possible grow up 'nice'; just as we must try to produce a world where all have plenty to eat." c.c.lewis

Anatomy & Physiology Tutor • +43 Subjects
I graduated from medical school at Westhill University and completed three years of surgical training in several hospitals, here and abroad. As an undergraduate, I studied fine arts and French at l'alliance franaise.Throughout my clinical and surgical education I taught interns, medical students, nurses and other kind of medical staff. These years of experience helped me to improve in problem solving skills and undoubtedly increased my understanding of basic science. I currently work at UT Southwestern medical center at the Neuroscience Department.I currently tutor in Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, Physiology, Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, biochemistry, and Medical genetics. My favorite subject is Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. I have always been captivated by the structure of the human body and specially the structure of the brain. I also love teaching languages! Communication is all we have. A proper and efficient communication among us can be life-changing. So let's learn!I tutor because I enjoy sharing knowledge and contributing to the society in my own way. When I teach I like using real-life scenarios either in the medical or linguistic field so the students fully grasp and understand the subject. This method has helped several of my students to succeed and master different subjects. In my spare time I enjoy skating, playing the piano and painting.

Elementary School English Tutor • +9 Subjects
I received my masters of elementary education from the University of Minnesota in May 2021. My bachelor's degree, which I received a year prior, was in elementary education as well. I also have a minor in coaching which I use to coach a high school cheerleading team. Since graduation, I have been working in an elementary school as a premier substitute. I have substitute taught in all grade levels K-5, special education, and specials (gym, art, music). While working towards my master's I worked full time in a 4th grade class. The first half of my year was in an online setting and I feel very comfortable teaching online. I believe strongly in personalized learning and building relationships. Building a mutual respect between teacher and student is one of the first goals I aim to accomplish. Building a relationship is crucial for success because knowing my students means I know what they can do and I am able to use their strengths to help them learn. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching, reading, and crafting. I also love to spend time outside with my friends.

I am a recent graduate from Cedarville University, a small college out in Ohio. I graduated with a degree in Education and currently hold my Ohio teaching license for Middle School Math and Science. I am currently working on obtaining my PA license as well.Math and Science are my favorite things to teach especially at the middle school level. However, I do also love to teach Algebra. Whether it be online or in person, even just one tutoring session can be incredibly helpful.I believe that every tutoring session should be totally centered around the student and what they need to learn best, whether that means doing example problems together, reviewing past material, or looking at the questions in a new way. Getting to know the student, their interests, and how they think is the key to making progress. Many times I will ask students to verbally process while they work so I can see how they are thinking better.Outside of education, I am also very interested in traveling and learning about other cultures. I have been very lucky to be able to go to a few countries outside of the US so far and plan to visit many more.
