Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and I received my Bachelors of Marine Biology with honors. My research focuses on marine mammals and conservation. My academic journey has also taken me abroad to James Cook University in Australia, where I deepened my knowledge of marine ecosystems. Beyond the classroom, I have worked extensively in science education, from leading interactive programs at aquariums and outreach events to tutoring peers in biology, chemistry, and calculus. I also have experience working with younger children as a preschool assistant where I helped them develop early learning skills in a supportive environment.

While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about biology and the sciences because they inspire curiosity and critical thinking. I especially enjoy helping students connect challenging material to real-world examples, making learning more engaging and meaningful. My approach to tutoring is patient, adaptable, and supportive. I aim to help students not only master their coursework but also build confidence in their ability to learn.

Outside of academics, I enjoy running, sailing, flying, and volunteering with community organizations focused on conservation and education. I believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom, and I strive to bring that same sense of discovery and enthusiasm to every tutoring session.
