I hold a Master's degree in Education from Northern Michigan University, where I graduated with high honors. I have been teaching for almost 20 years in both public and private, virtual and traditional settings. I have taught math at the secondary level and for the past six years have been teaching at the elementary level. I hold a science of reading certification and reading specialist (K-12) certification in Michigan along with my professional teaching license. I am passionate about encouraging struggling students and finding what works for them, and igniting a passion for lifelong learning!

I have three children and I love spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, and listening to music of all kinds!
