Certified Tutor

My passion for learning and helping others has been a driving force throughout my academic journey. Currently, I am a completing my undergraduate degree at Auburn University. I will graduate in May of 2025 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Business. I will be graduating with the highest academic distinction, Summa Cum Laude. This fall, I will be starting medical school to pursue a M.D. My time at Auburn has allowed me to gain expertise in many subjects and effectively communicate with my peers.
During my time at Auburn, I have served as a tutor for three years in the College of Sciences and Mathematics. I have tutored many students in various science courses including Chemistry, Biology, and Genetics. Additionally, I have worked with students ranging from middle school to college-level students preparing for graduate school exams. As a tutor, I have been able to help over 200 students achieve their academic goals and gain a thorough understanding of the material presented to them. I love being able to talk with my students and hearing their success after they put in the time and effort needed to succeed in their courses.
I specialize in many courses related to math and science. Additionally, I will be tutoring for the ACT and MCAT. I have recently taken and scored very well on both of these exams. I can cover all science subjects from middle-school science to advanced level chemistry and biology classes.
My teaching philosophy is very simple. First, I want to find out the level of understanding from each student. From this, I like to take small steps and ensure the student has mastered every single concept that is discussed and studied. While continuing to progress, I will make sure the student understands the big picture of the concept and attempt to relate the topic to something in the real world. I believe that when you can build connections with various topics, it will allow you to remember and understand the information better. This concept has worked for me, and I have gained very positive feedback from students.
Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors and playing sports. I enjoy playing golf and pickle, hanging out with friends, and playing with my dog. I look forward to helping each and every student in their academic journeys!
