I am a graduate of Hampton University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, where I received my MBA with a focus in Finance. My career has been shaped by significant leadership roles in Finance and Human Resources, as well as entrepreneurial ventures, including a childcare center, an escape room business, and a consulting firm.
Beyond my corporate and business experience, I have a deep passion for education and mentorship. I have spent over 20 years coaching adults in their careers and have also worked extensively as a personal tutor for children and young adults at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. While I tutor in a variety of subjects, I am particularly passionate about Math. Additionally, my experience as a substitute teacher for my childcare business has reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education.
Teaching is more than just a profession for meit is a way to give back to my community and empower others to reach their full potential. Early in my career, I volunteered to teach illiterate adults, an experience that was both humbling and enlightening. I firmly believe that education is the foundation of personal and professional success, and I am committed to helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling to immerse myself in new cultures. These experiences continue to shape my perspective and enhance my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. I look forward to bringing my experience, patience, and enthusiasm to my role as a tutor, helping students unlock their potential and excel academically.
