I am an alum of Alabama A & M University. I received my Bachelor of Science with a minor in Business Administration, Master of Education in the area of Special Education, Master of Education in Administration, and Education Specialist in General Education. Since graduation I worked mostly in Title Schools teaching students with disabilities in the resource and collaborative program and behavior units. I have worked in the elementary and secondary setting. I enjoy teaching ESOL students. I believe in meeting students where he/she is and developing an individual learning plan to get him/her where she needs to be. Teaching as been my passion since I was 6 years old going to my great aunts after school program and listening to the stories my mom would come home and tell from working in the resource/self-contained setting. My second year of teaching one of my students gave me the nickname "Caregiver of All". He said that I was always taking care of or assisting others. I want my students to be ready for life outside of the classroom walls as well by incorporating real-life situations and providing S.T.E.A.M. lessons through the creation of an individualized learning plan. In my spare time I enjoy listening to different genres of music that is relaxing, reading a fiction hardback book, playing with my 2 puppies Heavy and Chevy, and making all types of crafts from painting to making quilts.
