As a French language teacher, I have 30+ years of teaching experience in a range of experiences that includes Primary PYP to adult learning at the Alliance Franaise. The bulk of my experience, however, is at the secondary level in international schools and college teaching. I have taught French and English at schools in the Middle East, India and Malaysia. Currently I just finished a year of teaching French as Adjunct Professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, having taught both Intermediate and Elementary French levels (FRN101, 201, 225 and 226).
In my mind, I am still a learner. Being a language teacher in different parts of the world has enhanced my skills. It has helped me understand the different cultural settings and how students of different abilities understand and imbibe foreign languages and cultures. I have always strived to develop my pedagogical capabilities through professional developments offered by Alliance Francaise and schools around the world. I aspire to assimilate all these experiences in a written production soon, and hopefully share it with the world.
