Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Whitman College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology. Currently, I am in the process of applying to medical school and working as a research assistant for Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology at University of Washington . As a tutor, I cover a wide range of subjects including math, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry. However, my favorite subject to tutor is math. I believe that math is often unfairly stigmatized as being difficult or uninteresting, but I see it as a beautiful and logical language that underlies many aspects of our daily lives. I find great satisfaction in helping students overcome their math anxieties and develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. I prioritize building a strong rapport with my students. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and actively engaging in the learning process Outside of academia, I have a strong interest in fitness and wellness. I enjoy working out regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I find that physical activity helps me maintain focus and balance in my life. I am also a dog lover and find great joy in spending time with my two dogs, taking them for walks, and exploring the outdoors.
