Certified Tutor

I am an undergraduate senior at Hofstra University with a major in psychology and minors in human services and disability studies. In 2020, I obtained Career Technical Education Certification in Humanities and Non-profit Management. I currently possess five years of tutoring experience in a vast range of subjects with high school and college students. Such subjects include English and writing composition (MLA, APA, and ACS essay format), American literature, essay editing, college essay writing, college application preparation, academic organization and studying skills, introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, industrial psychology, psychology research methods and design, disability studies, and American Sign Language (one of my greatest passions!). Beyond my interests in tutoring and academia, I enjoy reading novels, attending concerts, baking, martial arts, and the occasional Netflix binge.
My devotion and passion for tutoring derives from a life-long interest in education. Helping others find what sparks their desire and ability to learn has been one of the most fulfilling and joyous endeavors of my life. The learning process is most effective and efficient when students' unique interests and academic needs are taken into consideration. I am dedicated to identifying what those factors are for each individual that I work with. It is an honor and immense privilege to guide students towards the development of new skills and to become a part of of their academic journey.
