Hello,

I am Ms. Nunes. I am originally from Rhode Island and now I live on a lovely beach at the coast of North Carolina. I have been teaching for over 25 years. I have 2 beautiful daughters and a Yorkie named Zoey.

I am excited to get to know you. I am very experienced in teaching virtually and currently teach in a virtual high school. I am certified in 9 areas with a highly qualified emphasis from NC, both general education and special education.

I have experience working with students who present with differing learning needs. I specialize in working with students who have ADHD, Spectrum Disorder/Autism, cognitive impairments, and general learning deficits.

I teach in a way that engages students online using various platforms that kids love! Visual, auditory, and interactive learning is key to engaging students who learn online.

Hobbies

When I am not teaching, I love to spend a lot of my time at the beach watching the dolphins and sea turtles. I love to garden and cook also. I love to travel and recently went to Germany to spend the holidays with my daughter during Christmas Market, it was so beautiful! I also love learning about various cultures, eating their food, and immersing myself in them to become more aware of who they are. I have high respect for what others believe in.
