I am a veteran teacher with 16 years of experience teaching middle, high school and college level biology. I also have a PhD in science education and have mentored many pre-service teachers through their licensure experience.
I am passionate about making science accessible to everyone and have made it my life's mission. I am currently the Vice President of Education and Engagement for a science museum in Winston-Salem NC and also run my own non-profit called The Science Of.org with my husband where we use pop culture to make STEM engaging for all audiences. Why tutor? Because it's important, it's important to make sure that everyone has the tools and opportunities to be successful in a STEM field or to just understand science better in order to make better choices as a citizen. Science is my life, and I hope to impart some of my passion and make it yours as well.
