I am a dedicated and knowledgeable EMS educator with a strong understanding of teaching Emergency Medical Services: EMT and Paramedic. For over 10 years, I was a full-time Firefighter and Nationally Registered Paramedic, which is where my passion to teach flourished. I am a hard-working adult learning professional employing creative strategies to engage students fully in the learning process. With a drive to inspire students to achieve personal and academic success, I am also deeply invested in building and instilling resilience in the Emergency Medical Services classroom.

As I complete my Doctor of Education degree, I have gained excellent knowledge in research-based strategies that improve adult learning. Over six years of teaching at the fire-based and post-secondary levels have allowed me to develop my teaching skills and create a positive and dynamic learning environment for students, which emphasizes my communication, passion for helping others succeed, and compassion. With a proven track record in student success, my focus on building a collaborative classroom with critical thinking skills, along with the application of knowledge, has been a beneficial asset.
