For over 30 years I have been involved in teaching children K-12, challenged through gifted. It is exciting to enable someone to accomplish their goal and gain a skill or add to their understanding.
I enjoy adapting materials to the interests and abilities of my learners, and generally feel that starting from a point of competency is most profitable. It's exciting to help people find ways to use their strengths to compensate for any weak points they may have.
My education at Wheaton College in IL was a vital part of my personal and intellectual growth.
Over the last three years I have been privileged to help children from Asia learn English online. This has increased my understanding of online education and the exciting resources available.
