Certified Tutor

Determined, dedicated, destined for greatness, and devoted; all of those words describe me. I received both my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Master of Science in Biotechnology from Claflin University. Throughout my matriculation at Claflin University, I have had great opportunities to tutor children as young as 5 years old, teenagers, and young adults. Education is the key to success, but hard work is what opens the door. I tutor some of the following subjects: Pre-algebra, Algebra, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Human Anatomy, etc. My approach to each individual I tutor is different; we all think/learn differently, so I put myself in the individual's mindset to help me better understand their thought process and what they struggle with. I have established different methods of tutoring to benefit all age groups. As with a butterfly, adversity is necessary to build character in people. Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path. Something I live by is to never give up, believe in yourself, and always be optimistic. When it rains, look for rainbows and when it gets dark, look for stars. In my spare time, I love reading, spending time with loved ones, cooking, baking and playing board games.
