I have been in the field of Education for the past five years. I have a both a Bachelors degree in English Education, and a Masters degree in Literacy Education from St. Johns University. I am also a dually certified teacher in the state of New York (ELA and Literacy); this essentially means that I am a specialist in the field of reading and writing. As your tutor, I work to assess your current abilities, identify weaknesses in things like decoding, comprehension, syntactical structure etc, and then create an instructional plan that is unique to you! I have expereince teaching grades K-12 and am especially interested in working with students on their way to college. I would be happy to help read, edit, and strengthen your college personal statements to get you into the college of your dreams!
