My name is Sarah and I have been an educator for 7 years! I hold a B.A in Education/Child Psychology as well as a Masters in Childhood Education along with Masters extensions in Early Childhood Education and Bilingual Education.
I enjoy helping students achieve academic success in all subjects. I have expertise in teaching reading as well as providing reading intervention services. I am also passionate about writing, and I enjoy sharing my love for writing with my students. I also love teaching math. I like to break down complex concepts into multiple concrete steps that are easy to understand.
I believe that every child wants to learn and loves to learn. When instruction is differentiated, positive results are achieved. In order to tailor instruction to the individual, I get to know my students on an academic and personal level. With this information, I can teach to the child's interests and strengths. I believe that this creates a strong bond, increases the student's confidence, and has a positive impact on academic success.
On my free time, I like to write, draw, sing, watch sunsets and play with my dog, Charlie.
