I am an alumna of the University of New Hampshire, where I graduated magna cum laude with institutional honors and received my Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a minor in Spanish. I am currently located in Boston and am interested in helping educate students in areas related to both biology and spanish. I feel that providing this service has never been more important, as students experience pandemic-related disruptions to their educations. As the founder and peer advisor to the UNH Zoological Society, I understand the common struggles that students have in STEM courses, particularly biology. I have experienced many of these frustrations myself and feel I have become a stronger student and teacher because of them. Additionally, as a high school spanish tutor, I saw the common obstacles that held students back while also learning the individual frustrations of each student. With patience and dedication, I was able to work with my students to help them pass exams and gain a stronger grasp of the material. I believe that understanding a student's individual situation is essential to educating them, and most importantly for fostering a love of learning.
