I began my career in education in 1998 after receiving a Master in Education from George Washington University. Much of my teaching has been in secondary schools in Virginia where I taught ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Teaching students with such diverse educational and linguistic background gave me experience in developing instructional strategies to accommodate students' diverse academic needs, interests and learning styles!

Over the last few years I have transitioned to substitute teaching elementary school students in Arlington Public Schools. I have made a name for myself throughout the county as the "Riddle Guy" as I am known to entertain and challenge students with riddles! I am also regarded as a substitute teacher who can quickly adapt to a new situation and provide a meaningful and structured learning environment.

I also have several years of experience tutoring Russian language to adult and high school students.

I am looking forward to using my knowledge, experiences and strategies with students in a one-on-one setting to give them confidence to understand, appreciate and enjoy the subject matter that they are studying.

When I am not teaching or tutoring I enjoy traveling and hiking with my wife, playing golf, socializing with friends and family and hanging out with our two adorable cats!
