Andrew: Waterbury tutor
Certified Tutor
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. I am currently in a gap year applying to medical schools. I have been tutoring for almost 5 years since high school. I have taught a variety of ages from elementary school all the way to college age students with multiple subjects, but mostly math and science. My favorite subjects to tutor are physics and chemistry because I believe that after learning about some of these topics, it is super interesting to see how the theories and laws that you learn in class apply in the real world! I would describe my teaching style as primarily example based. I try and pull up real world applications and examples of questions that may come up in their testing and have students work to solve them. I am passionate about helping others not only get good grades, but also really learn and understand the materials. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, going to the gym, cooking, and listening to music.
