I am a passionate educator who has experience as MS English Teacher and HS English teacher including courses such as 9th grade Writing honors, 9th grade English, 10th grade English, 11th grade English honors, AP English Literature. Most recently, I was The Director of Secondary Literacy Curriculum, grades 5-12 for KIPP NJ and am transitioning to Dream Charter High School as Academic Dean, an assistant principal position. I am committed to helping all students learn. Additionally, I believe that education is a civil right and that all students are capable of mastering content, no matter how rigorous or complex, with the right instructional moves, response to data, and appropriate level of scaffolding in place. In addition I have experience tutoring students in Chemistry, preparing students to be more successful on college admissions test such as the ACT and SAT and teaching Algebra I to ninth graders in the absence of a permanent teacher.
