Certified Tutor

I am a college student at Trinity University majoring in Geosciences with a minor in Environmental Studies. I've been a nanny for multiple summers and babysat throughout high school helping the kids with their homework. During winter and summer break I volunteer at a therapeutic riding ranch working with students of many abilities and backgrounds. I tutor in the subjects I am passionate about and have done well in, math and science. I hope to create an enthusiasm around learning, or at least make math and science a bit less scary for students struggling with them. My tutoring style is one focused around finding different approaches to helping students understand what they are doing and why and reinforcing what they've learned while building self-esteem around their ability to do well in math and science. Outside of academics I enjoy hiking, working with horses, painting, and baking.
