I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BA in Chemistry and Biology and am a continuing MBA student. My professional career has been primarily the management of healthcare and technology companies (three of which integrated my love of chemistry and business). I currently work with a tech startup developing a global entertainment platform.

My teaching experience began with tutoring chemistry during college and continued with adult instruction in medical procedures (EMT-A), equipment use and maintenance (kidney dialysis), and software applications (ERP, EMR, and Windows). Most of my students have been young adults without any college experience.

I believe lifelong learning should be pursued by every human being. To that end each person has a unique capacity for learning but only if their motivation is energized. This is where my instructional process begins learning what motivates the student and how to maintain that energy. I also vary my approach and method to support that motivation. Regardless of the age of the student, the process I prefer is a consultative one 'between equals' - not an ego-based 'teacher-student' relationship.

Lastly, my teaching goal is effectiveness. You don't have time to waste.
