I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Writing with a focus in Book Publishing at Portland State University. Before I moved to Portland, I was a Senior Tutor for 2 years in the Writing Center at Georgia Southern University. There, I tutored both undergraduate and graduate students from and in all disciplines and with varying levels of experience in creative, technical, academic, and professional writing. Before that, I was a Peer Mentor for first and second-year college students, teaching them how to understand literature, develop theses, and create cohesive, argumentative and informative essays while also acting as a mentor for their new college experience.

I now have an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts, as well as a Bachelor's degree in English - Professional Communications/Technical Writing and Editing. I love helping students understand how to write in a way that captures their voice and interests while also meeting all of the requirements of their assignments.

It is vastly important that students walk away from a tutor session with the proper materials to enhance the skills they've just learned or exercised, thus I am prepared to provide materials I think best fit the student's needs.
