Hello. Thank you for checking out my profile and considering me for English reading and writing tutoring.

I've always loved reading and writing, and I can share the practicalities of those interests with students at any level necessary. My BA from NYU in English/Writing and my MA in English/Writing from the University of Denver has given me a deep knowledge of literature, while my own enthusiasm about writing for young readers helps me understand the needs of students who require encouragement and extended focus on their reading and writing abilities.

I've written more than 115 books published for children and young adults, I worked for 20 years as an editor at publishing houses in NYC, and I've taught regular fiction and non-fiction writing workshops for elementary school students. I know I can make reading and writing enjoyable while still instilling a solid foundation that strengthens and develops academic progress.

Reading and writing proficiencies are more necessary than ever in our Information Age. I provide students with skills which will assist in a lifetime of success.
