Certified Tutor

I am a current senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am completing a degree in Health Policy and Management with minors in chemistry and biology. Currently, I am on the pre-medical track at UNC I am applying to medical schools for next year. I have worked as a tutor at the UNC Learning Center for two semesters and I have been a TA for anatomy and physiology for three semesters (two of those as lead TA).

While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I greatly enjoy tutoring standardized test prep and chemistry (general, organic, analytical, biochem) as well as biology (cell bio and genetics). I scored in the 98th percentile on the MCAT and am prepared to offer tutoring for this exam. Though it may be difficult, it can definitely be beaten with a high score with the right studying plan! I always strive to pass my vast wealth of experience on to students in a concise and easy to understand manner.

My approach to tutoring is to focus on application of content rather than memorization and to help students develop good study and work habits. I have learned a number of great learning and studying strategies in my time as a tutor at UNC!
