I received my Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, my Master's in Education from George Mason University, and I have nine years experience as a District of Columbia Public School teacher. As a DC teacher, I worked with both general education and special education students from pre-K through 5th grade in reading, writing, and math. I have a track-record of success driving student growth. In DC I was ranked as a "Distinguished Teacher" and was given the highest rating of "Highly Effective." I am especially skilled at diagnosing each student's reading needs and targeting these needs to help that student grow in reading levels. I also have significant experience teaching writing and math to elementary schoolers. Though my classroom experience has been with elementary students, I am confident I could teach readers and writers of any age, drawing upon my teaching expertise and my experience as an English major at Dartmouth College. I recently relocated from DC to Hoboken with my husband and am eager to put my love for teaching to use!
