I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Muhammad: Rome tutor

Certified Tutor

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Cum Laude (Latin Honors) degree in Neuroscience in May 2017. I understand the importance of age-appropriate curriculum and studying habits so that students can achieve their full potential. I firmly believe that there is no single, correct way to learn just like there is no single, correct path to teaching. As an undergraduate student, I had the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant for Cellular Neuroscience, a junior level course in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at UT Dallas. My responsibilities included scheduled review sessions and answering questions via email or in person. Review sessions on average accommodated 30 to 40 individuals and further assistance was provided to those who needed one-on-one attention. I was privileged to be able to write potential test questions which were utilized quite regularly by the instructor during examinations. My background centers primarily around math and science courses such as Neuroscience, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. These subjects were some of my personal favorites during high school and college. As a recent graduate, I can relate to student needs and concerns on a more personal level when it comes to contemporary education standards and requirements. Indeed, time management is a skill but with the right balance of fun and academia, success is just around the corner.
