My interest in education began as a child....I have always loved to learn.

In college, I became a tutor and writing consultant at Grand Valley State University as I worked toward my B.A. in Writing. I enjoyed working with traditional students, but I especially treasured my time with ESL and special needs' students.

This experience proved immensely valuable as I entered my adult life and was blessed with four children of my own - two on the autism spectrum and one with ADHD and dyslexia. We have chosen to homeschool our children and I have the honor of working one-on-one with each of them to provide extra support through specialized reading and math curricula.

My aim is not just to get a child through an assignment and on to the next but to help develop a true learner. I am excited to share my passion for education with struggling students, especially children with special needs.
