There are many reasons to pursue a career in tutoring. Many people embark on tutoring in order to make extra money on the side. Others may excel in a specific content area, and want to help others learn the content, too. I, however, want to tutor because tutoring (or teaching) is my passion. I am currently a 4th grade Writing and Social Studies teacher and I adore what I do. Teaching is more of a hobby than a job to me. I want to broaden this hobby of mine into the tutoring world.
