Certified Tutor

My name is Meagan McMillen and I am a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. I earned my degree while performing for Disney Cruise Line. My work experience helped me develop real-world skills such as exceptional customer service, public speaking, working with/leading a team, time management, sales and job flexibility.

In addition to leading my team onboard, I learned to follow all safety procedures, memorize countless scripts/ lyrics, evaluated my fellow performers for personal reviews as well as act as a liaison between them and our manager/cruise director. I had to wear many different hats and lived in an extremely fast-paced environment. Staying calm amid the chaos and leading was a talent I picked up quickly because I had to, and it has served me well thus far.

I graduated in May 2014 after years of learning and experiencing all that the world has to offer and while I have been with Disney for most of my professional life, I have found my new passion on land, teaching. I have completed all of my Master's Degree classes and am currently pursuing my teaching credential. Additionally, I have taken, and passed, all of my Single Subject English CSET tests.

Being a student and substitute teacher does not pay all the bills and I would love the opportunity to work in the afternoons/evenings/weekends doing something so interesting, challenging, and enjoyable. Tutoring and working with students one on one would be a dream come true and add to my educational experience. I would love to educate young minds and I thank you for your time and consideration!
