Certified Tutor

Hello, my name is Chirag. I have been tutoring for three years. I began tutoring at my high school's Math Resource Center and then joined the school's Literacy Lab, as well. I also privately tutored math for a year.

I like to tutor in a fairly simple manner. I ask what is difficult in the subject area and why it is hard. I then proceed to walk through a problem and talk it out with the student. After of couple problems, I let the student tackle the problem and help them along the way with any mistakes I see. I have found this to work for tutoring math. For English, it usually is a matter of talking it out and finally getting that idea out of the box.
