I am a recent graduate of The George Washington Universitys Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Womens Studies and History. I come from a fairly international background - as a child of French and American parents, I moved frequently as a child, and experienced a wide range of public and private educational environments in France and the United States. I settled eventually in Washington, DC, where I spent my time at GWU pursuing research in early American cultural history (specifically in race and gender studies throughout the colonial period) and feminist studies. I have presented my research at academic conferences across the United States, from Washington, DC to South Dakota. Since graduating from GWU, I have spent the last years working in the performing arts: I was a part of the Allen Lee Hughes 2016-17 fellowship class at Arena Stage, an award-winning regional theater in DC, and I currently work for the WGBH Educational Foundation as a host on WCRB Classical Radio Boston.
Given my wide range of subjects tutored, I am particularly passionate about tutoring English, college writing, and essay writing, for I believe that solid skills in writing composition and reading comprehension are the strongest tools a student can have in school and beyond. In my spare time, I enjoy artistic pursuits: I sing, perform, and am currently learning the piano. I also work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, and consider myself an amateur connoisseur of dinosaurs!
