I have developed an interest in tutoring because I am looking for additional opportunities to work with students beyond my teaching career. I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who has experience working at the elementary, middle and high school level. I have taught both English and Remedial Reading classes at these levels, and I have a passion for working with struggling students and helping them succeed. I have a Bachelors Degree in English Education and a Masters in Literacy. I have done extensive work with curriculum development for Reading and English classes. I love collaborating with others, and I feel that I do a great job building relationships with my students that help them succeed. I enjoyed planning lessons that appeal to the interests of my students and also meet their learning needs because I feel this is when my students are most successful.

When I am not working with students, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors and trying new recipes. I spend a lot of time with my two dogs, Bronx and Brady, who are really like my children. I also enjoy traveling, especially to the beach and during the summer months!
