Having been a personal tutor for nearly 5 years, and having run a tutoring company for 2 of them, one would think that I would be ready to tutor any type of student. But, my years of tutoring taught me exactly the opposite. I learned that every student is unique and what works with one student may not work with another. So, whenever I start tutoring a new student, I come prepared with only two things. First, a smile and an eagerness to be not only your mentor but also a friend. And second, an open mind, to see what, you, the student can help teach me about yourself, to help me become a better tutor for you.
