I am a graduate of the University of California Davis with a degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. The bulk of my career has been with the United States Navy as a commissioned officer and I am currently attending the Institute of Culinary Education.

In regards to my style, I have found that the primary reason students struggle is not necessarily a lack of determination or ability, but a misunderstanding of the importance of the topic. What I offer is "real life" experience, I can relate topics to real word situations where the concept might apply. Teaching the concept is more important than the individual problem at hand.
